Saw this on TV this morning...pretty neat looking:

Silent PC
Yeah, maybe a good underclocker's system :P
It's obviously overkill if he had to go to a quiet room just the measure sound output. Ever doing half of these things might bring down the sound considerably without effecting cooling too much, but it's usually a trade-off. I'm sure you guys love your water-cooling setups....

Kinda cool. I doubt it kills the effectiveness of his cooling much...the exhaust fans are still good. Only thing I'd want to know, without reading the article, is where his HD's are...hopefully they aren't wrapped up..they need airflow if he wants long life from them.
I love the Antec Sonata I recently got. So much more quiet...only got about a 5 degree increase in CPU temp over the Antec sx1030 it replaced. But the drop in noise...nice. Only gripe is those blue lights in the front...disconnected them, too bright. No ricer mods wanted on my case.

Hell, I disconnected everything from the front of the case...too many wire/cable bundles, and the blue LEDs are too, too bright.

Only thing I connected there was the 2x USB ports...find them handy for quickly connecting camera to upload pics. I don't use firewire, or that Intel sound....so those cables stayed bundled up hidden behind the drive cages.
Also swapped out the power supply..put my True Power 430 watter in there instead of the 380 watter the Sonata comes with. I'm sure I didn't need it..but hey, had it, so in it went.
