hows this look

Post by pimptrizkit »

just bumped the fsb up to 200 haven't tried to go further yet. this is about hour 6 on this cpu.

those are some scores and the current temp

i haven't seen it get hotten the 41c and the fan wasn't at ful throlltle either.

what is it with the thermaltake fan and not being able to hook up a heat sensor and a fan control ? eh i guess it's not needed but would be nice. maybe i just dont know enough...

when you have the sensor and knobe controle hooked up the fan is maxed out for soem reason. eh when i do this my cpu stays about 32c at 2500 haven't tried it at 3200 yet.

oh btw what do you think did i do good?

Pics are not working. Save them as a JPEG file, they load a lot faster then a bmp.

Pimp I have mine hooked up to a fan controller I can adjust from 500 rpm to 6500 rpm.... also it is EASILY hooked up to a temperature sensor.... just plant the diode underneath the heatsink... but NOT inbetween the CPu/HSF :P Well you can't have two hooked up because it's not gonna read two at once, how is it gonna decide between the two?? One or the other.

Well the only way to OC your memory is raise the FSB some more... you can try lowering your timings, if you get black screen on boot, then raise it up a notch.

yes click here to go to down load page.

i dropped my fsb down to like 428 so i can run lower timmings.

the smaller the number better right? so like i have it set up at

cas 2 3-3-6 would

cas 2 2-2-4 be better?

i have it didn't like it. i have my memory at 2.9v and i in my moniotr it says the memory is getitn 3v's i read on geils site that they test their mempry at 3v's so i figured it was fine.

i tried the agressive timmings cas 2 3-3-6 at 440fsb and it didn't like it it wanted to run cas2 4-4-7

i will restart and see if i can push lower timmings like cas 2 2-2-4

im totaly liking how easy this system wa to put together. took me less then 30 mins to switch cases and every thing in it. :p

i have also found that in my new case , when i have the side cover one i run about 4c cooler then with it off .. eh i wonder why.

I'm at 2.2GHz on a7n8x-dx, had it up to 210 FSB but it wasn't stable, didn't mess with the timings enough, gonna try 2447 and see what happens, I had bumped vcore and the ddr votage already.

I'm runing about the same set up as you except my ram is Corsair PC3200 XMS ver 1.1. My Vcore is at 1.8 though. :(

I'm running at 11*211 right now. Seem to have a hard time pushing it above 220. :(

What kind of divider are you using? 5/5? 6/6? or?

alright im running 221 with vcore 1.7 memory 2.9 and i left the other settings alone. i was able to get it tp post out of the bios but not into windows at 225 tried 227 with horrible memory timmings and it wouldn't do it. i dont kno if i need to raise my cpu voltage more i think i tried 1.75 but dont want to slam it with alot of volts cuz it needs to be a trooper.

im gona run awhile at 2.44ghz and see how stable it is

oh it's at 38c at idle and 42c at full load is this any good?

or make sense. doesn't seeem like a big increase.

Man dude, if you would invest in some better ram and a watercooling set-up it sounds like you could take the chip to 2.5-2.6ghz with ease!

i have a question. they say this is pc3500 with cas 2 and timmings 3-3-6 shouldn't i be able to have this memory at 216-217 fsb with those timmings?
im not sure if i am achiveing that but i will double check and make another post. but my plans are to get another stick run dual channel and wc my cpu and chipset.

alright 217fsb at cas 2 3-3-6 434 i should be able to squize a few more mhz out at this timmings but i'll try it l8r
