Microsoft has done a great job with equipment and easy setup. The price is great and the setup is easy as pie. I don't know if your on the MS hate bandwagon or not, but the truth is they make this work very well, with a virtually brainless setup and all the bells and whistles of more expensive hardware. Check it out you won't regret it. Here is a little info.
Hardware:
Microsoft MN-700 wireless broadband router @ $99.99
Microsoft MN-730 wireless PCI adapter @ $69.00

I would personally go with Linksys. I purchased a few wireless routers about a month ago and did some testing with NetStumbler to test out signal strength. It seems the linksys puts out a steady output on the wireless side. Just remember to update firmware on any Linksys wireless routers/ap's. Ive found that will solve alot of your reliability issues.
