XP Pro machine boots up when phone rings?

XP Pro machine boots up when phone rings?

Hey guys,

Recentlyput a machine together for a friend of mine. All went well except when they recieve a phone call, it turns the machine on!

Went into BIOS disabled "modem wake on ring" and also checked settings in modem properties.

Working with a Gigabyte board, windows XP Pro, and an internal 56K modem (not sure name of modem).

Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.

You might check under the power management section in the bios and see if there's a power on function setting. Make sure that's set to button only if Gigabyte boards have such an option.
