hey guys,
just wondering if for example cell a3 has a number it in it highlights the whole row 1 .. i tried conditional formatting but i cant seem to find it in there. any other ideas ?

I think what he wants to do is to highligt a complete row if the corresponding cell in a column for that row is not null.
Just a little VBA should do that. Although I don't know the exact syntax. I usually don't work in Excel.
Something like (but just making this up)
Function highlightrow(C as string, R as string)
Dim strC as string 'column reference
Dim strR as string 'row reference
If not isnull(c,a) then
Highlight the row
end if
Sorry, it's been a long time since I had to do this. hehe
