windows socket error 10060

i keep getin this error message windows socket
error 10060 on api connect when i try to connect to cams
in javacam how can i fix it i removed some trojans with
spybotsd i wonder if trojan might have damaged my
winsock.dll file

That error usually means that a port required by whatever you are trying to use is closed by your firewall. Do you have one, and is it running when you try to run the cam?
So trade that typical for something colorful, and if it's crazy live a little crazy!

yeh java cams servers what could be wrong
iremoved some trojans just before that error
started couldit be my winsock.dll

Are you using the same ports that they are? What OS are you using?

im usin same ports and win98se i even uninstalled
tcpip and reinstalled it but that not work either
cant figur it out i had this problem before couple
years go in win95 but dont know what caused it

Go here and make sure the port you need to run this on is open. This place will scan all 65,535 ports on your system and tell you whats open and what's closed.

Have you ever, and I do ever, had a firewall on your system?

One other thing....make sure you isp has not blocked the port. Most ISP's lock down ports.

i scanned ports it say port 139 is open
type tcp port 139 NETBIOS Session Service. Chode. God Message worm. Msinit. Netlog. Network. Qaz. Sadmind. SMB Relay.

how can i close it my isp is yahoo

Whats the name of the hardware and software your using and whats the servers website.

You have to give us much more detail
