Connection not stable, please help.

I'm running RasPPPoE on an XP Pro machine and 1500/128 Earthlink DSL. The problem I'm having is that the connection will become established, but then it'll freeze and die on me. I'm not really sure if it's the Ras Protocol or not, but I doubt it is. I ALWAYS get a solid DSL line connection, but the Ethernet LED on my modem keeps blinking where I think it should stay solid green.

I recently got a new HDD in this laptop so I had to re-install windows and everything else, before this was done, everything was working great.

I'm using:

SpeedStream Modem
Earthlink DSL (1500/128)
RasPPPoE .98
Intel PRO_100 VE Ethernet Card

Sony VAIO R505DL 1GHZ Laptop
Windows XP Pro (I got Pro added on, PC came with XP home, the XP Pro copy is NOT BOOTLEG)


I already did all the CableNut stuff and TCP/IP Optimization so you can imagine how stumped I must feel. Thanks for you help.
