Ever have a problem with fedex ground?

Post by LT-73 »

This must be the dumbest, most stupid thing ever done by a fedex courier.

I've been expecting my 2 rma'ed cpu's since about 2 weeks. I get a call from the driver this morning and he says he has a box from Advance Micro Devices (AMD) and that he's about 7-10 minutes. I say "great. You do know i live in a highrise so press the intercom button and i'll let you in". He says " no problem" and hangs up. I'm having coffee and it's about 9:50am. So i wait......and wait.....and wait. I look at the time and it's almost noon. I go online and track the box; still on truck for delivery. Ok, now i'm confuzed, where the hell is he?? I get a call from another fedex guy and when he gets here it's the regular guy with a mobo. i traded mobo's with a guy out in texas. So i'm still waiting for the fedex ground driver and my box, no show.

I go thru swapping out mobos and have a bite to eat. Format, install windows, blah blah. I check the time and it's 8pm ! Now i'm pissed. i've waited all day and this guy never showed up with my box. I check tracking again and this is what i get:

Oct 2, 2003 9:56 am

Delivered <<<<<<<< HUH ???

Albany, NY

8:18 am

On FedEx vehicle for delivery

ALBANY - HD, NY

Delivered ?? To who ??? Sure is hell wasn't me! I also checked the top part of the tracking and it says signed by: Met Customer. WTF is that ?? I called fedex and raised hell. I explained the whole situation and told them that the driver called me around 20 minutes to 10 am to notify me i have a package and if i'll be home. I told him yes, i've been expecting the package. He never shows! I've waited the whole dam day and he doesn't show, yet the tracking states it was delivered and that moi signed for it?? what kind of BS is this?? I said there's valuable computer parts in that box and i want my box otherwise you or your crack smokin driver is gonna cough up some loot!

Geeeez, fedex ground ppl are as reliable as UPS. What kind of exam they take for these jobs? They watch a video with a monkey playing Mr' postman?? Sheeeeeeeeesh!!

I am so not in a cheerful mood. Now i gotta wait untill they call me in the morning to let me know which time portal this crackhead driver took my package to :irate:

Yup, they suck! I watched them drive around the block twice then said there was no such address. I called them up and asked if the drivers seeing eye dog took the day off.

Barbara bought me a nice watch as a surprise gift. Delivery was to be by FedEx.

They delivered it all right, right to my apartment door, then left it there!

Needless to say, FedEx paid for a watch, but it was another week or two before I got it.

Dang! I've never had a problem with the regular fedex, the ones used by newegg. I even know the guy and he's never failed me, but this guy with fedex ground is a total moron.

I called them this morning again. Supervisor and dispatcher said the driver is out retrieving the package from whoever he delivered it to. They said i should be recieving a call from them by 3pm

I had thought this only happend with UPS.

Nope hybrid. It's lost out there because of an incompetant crack smokin moron. I already told them they get my box are start writing out a check.

Fedex shipped my shipment to clinton twp, where i used to live, instead of where i live now (1 1/2hr drive one way) so i went down there, and then they told me they had shipped it back up to flint, hmm how nice. UPS is the worst though, fedex is much better about if you miss a truck, etc. UPS can kiss my arse I HATE them.

Over $20/hr still is pretty damn decent without having to take an exam, no?

I dunno what these ppl have for brains. One rep tells me they'll call me by 3, well here it is after 3 so I call them and ask wtf is going on with my box. The other rep says it'll take 'up to 24hrs' for them to call me back. I already blew up on them and tore them a new one  She got so nervous she switched me over to th supervisor and i told him the same dam thing without censoring anything out. he said they're working on it and i should get a call by tonite or before this day is over. I told him i don't care just gimmi my chit! I also told him how highly i think about his driver

Geeeez , today is put-my-foot-up-someone's-arse day! How i miss the city at this time. I would get this angry and just go outside, find someone who owes me money and just beat them with my bat into a pulp. Man I need some recreation Danemora style.

I would be livid.

Had a huge fiasco with UPS a couple weeks ago. Got a hdd from officedepot...shipped with NO interior packing in a box twice as large as needed.

Called for an exchange, no problem. Had to go to work and live in a safe area so left the package to be returned on my doorstep.

Got back from work, package still on doorstep, checked the tracking and there's a statement from the driver "checked residence, package not ready for pick-up"

WTF? I think there's an IQ threshold that delivery people must fall below in order to be hired.

over 20/hr?

where'd you hear that?

I'm thinking more like 8-9 from everything I've read for fedex drivers.

postal workers start at $12 and work up to about $17-$18, plus nights and weekend pay.
