is there any problem setting ips from my favorites servers from internet?

for your information, i am using a firewall, sygate.

You can put whatever you like in your host file. If there is an entry for a url, and that website changes their ip address, you won't be able to find them - because windows checks the hostfile first before submiting to a name server for resolution.
