I have a 5 button mouse that utilizes the one next to the "right" button as a "backpage". Dunno about the normal right button.

edit: i guess it's the button next to my thumb that goes back, the other one is forward.

Only thing I see is if you right click on the page you are on you get a menu that pops open and has BACK at the top ... go to it then click and you go back.

it also might be a certain browser feature/combo thingy
if thats understandable... :D

ive heard of different browsers have features like if you click/hold the mouse and move it to the left it goes back or something like that...

look for a freeware program called strokeit.

sounds wierd. :D

however, it's amazing. You hold down the right click button and you can make designs on your desktop. Or issue commands.

For example, if you hold down your right button and move a little to the right, you'll go back one page in explorer. You can do all kinds of things with it and it doesnt take up much in system resoruces.

there it is. my fav program.

oops.

a little to the right makes you go forward a page

a little to the left makes you back a page. makes more sense that way too.

Simply right click in some "non link" area of the webpage itself (such as right >HERE<), and your top selection from the context popup window should be "Back".

I have a plain old standard Intellimouse 1.3a right here...left button, right button, scroll-wheel in the middle. No funky 3rd party apps....just plain old Windows XP, latest IE, and that choice is there for me.

Avant Browser has some cool lil shortcuts like that. I like it a lot, but it can be a little glitchy and for some reason it just does not work well on Humboldts sys, maybe it needs to be the default browser?
