I have been very blessed these past couple of years, and since I spend a lot of time here and feel at home on the forums, I feel I should share a bit of my good fortune with the SG community in the form of this latest contest.

The Contest

My brother recently priced an all-new home theater system and plans on buying it in the near future. The only thing you have to do is guess the amount that all the components he has selected add up to. The person who guesses closest to the actual total wins. Simple and easy, ain't it? I will give you one bit of info though...the grand total is more than $2,000.00.

You only get ONE GUESS, and once you've posted, you CANNOT edit your guess or you will be disqualified. Also, please refrain from off-topic replies in this thread...it's easier on the eyes when I go through the guesses.

The Prize

The winner receives ALL THREE of these as one package.

(2) 36 GB Western Digital Raptor 10,000 RPM Serial-ATA hard disks
(2) Serial-ATA cables with 90-degree connectors
(1) Windows XP Professional (Academic Upgrade version, please PM me for details)

These items will be purchased brand-new by me and sent to the winner of the contest. Due to a slight glitch I experienced today after I'd already announced the contest, the prize will not go out to the winner until next week; however, I will add an additional "mystery item" to the prize package to make up for it.

The contest runs from 7:30 PM CST tonight until 7:00 AM CST tomorrow morning, September 25, 2003.

first priz
second prize
thrd prize etc?

also is it the one who is closest without over bidding?
