Need help WinTV PCI

Post by Bluesky »

I got a WinTV PCI card on Ebay, only the card, no driver. I went to Hauppauge's website and only found the update driver. Can anyone help me out? (email me the driver??)

and also, what do I use to connect the line out to my sound card? Where can I get it?

thanks a million!

I have the WIN TV board from hauppauge

Just install the latest driver, and download the WINTV2000 application.... then hook it up and bam - went really easily for me

Here are the links, on the same site you were on - I didnt see the problem.

You have to look at your card and identify your chipset here is the link

http://www.hauppauge.com/html/sw_pci_selector.htm

THEN follow these links below to get the Driver/Application - nothing a little searching cant cure

WinTV2000 Application

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software ... _21126.exe

878 Chipset Driver

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software ... _21125.exe

878 WHQL Certified XP Driver

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software ... _21163.exe

881 Chipset Driver

http://hauppauge.lightpath.net/software ... _21082.exe

BTW I just went to hauppauge.com to check it out for you

Those drivers are the full drivers - if you read underneath it says "they delete the previous drivers, and install the new full drivers"

Then just download the WINTV2000 program from their site, open it up put it on channel 3, plug in your vcr, digital cable, or dvd player, and it works flawlessly

PS To connect it to your soundcard, you just need a male/male patch cord. I forget the actual name, but its the same size that you plug into a discman with your headphones. Get it at ANY electronics store, even lowe's/home depot has them. Very easy to find.
