Problem with Cable Speeds!!

I've done a message similar to this before. I did all the things reccomended. For a while, my cable speed stayed constant at 1.7 mbps. After that, it went to 2.2 mbps. It stayed like that for a while. Today, I did a few speed tests and my speed went from 2.2mb/264kb to 1.1mb/94kb. What is going on here???

Use Ad-Aware, SpyBot, and Spyware blaster.

What r your advertised speeds?

Also be mindful of the fact that whilst you may not be infected with recent virus's / worms, many many people are, and this is causing extreme backups all over the internet, especially in shared bandwidth networks such as cable modem providers.

my advertised speed is 1500/128, as listed in my signature.

I've used ad-aware, spybot, and spyware.

and i forgo bout the viruses jdblitz.
