Actually I guess it isn't really an expiriment because quite a few ppl have been doing it.
Anyway, I got the Apple CinemaDisplay 23inch LCD for my PC, and it rocks!!!
Despite the fact that it requires an additional ADC/DVI converter and the Monitor adjustment function is disabled, I really like this monitor.
At 1920x1200, 32 bits, things look really really cool, though somewhat small.
But the refresh rate seems to be locked at 60 HZ, is there anyway to change it or it is one of those LCD limitations?
Oh, this thing is pricey. The monitor actually costs more than my computer altogether.
If you can't change it in your Display Properties, then no.
However, 60 Hz on an LCD is nothing like 60 Hz on a CRT. Unless you have super-sensitive eyes, you will not notice flicker on the LCD at that refresh rate.
Have more fun..... hook your pc up to a video projector.....
I want to learn more and more to see as beautiful what is necessary in things; then I shall be one of those who make things beautiful. Amor fati: let that be my love henceforth! I do not want to wage war against what is ugly. I do not want to accuse; I do not even want to accuse those who accuse. Looking away shall be my only negation. And all in all and on the whole: some day I wish to be only a Yes-sayer.

Yeah, I don't notice any flicker, but actually I didn't even notice any flicker when my old CRT was set at 60 HZ for several days.
