Where to buy dsl modems

Post by DigitalPimp »

well i'm looking all over, went to alcatel and nortel sites and can't buy directly from them, and must buy from their resellers, and e-mailed many of them, and i can only buy them if i can subscribe for their services

so i was wondering if there are any web sites i can order from (us or canada) specifically nortel or alcatel since dlink sucks, if cisco has dsl modems then that's np either

I noticed a few at Price Watch, except they tend to be a lot more expensive then cable modems and I don't see any Alcatel or Nortel on the page

I had a 2wire till it went out on me. I don't really recommend them. I have noticed in my shopping for a new DSL modem experience that a DSL modem is more costly than a cable modem as well they are harder to find. Best buy had 1 DSL modem in stock and 7 different kinds of cable modems with plenty of stock when i was there last night.

If you find a good one and for a good price please post back and let me know what you went with.

Along the same line. What is a good cost efficient Surge Protector to put inline for a DSL modem?
