Ad & Popup Blocker For IE6

Post by glc1 »

Anyone know of a good popup AND and blocker for Internet Explorer 6? And I don't mean an alternative browser like Mozilla Firebird or a browser that uses the IE engine like SlimBrowser. What I'm really looking for is a toolbar plugin for IE.

Yeah, I like this one. It's too bad popup and ad blocking can't be enabled/disabled on the fly from IE's toolbar though, like with Google's popup blocking. That's kinda what I was hoping for. Web Washer works well too, but I don't want an all sys tray based program. I guess Google and Free Surfer will have to do until I find an app that offers add and popup blocking on the fly from IE's toolbar.

Thanks for the replies all...

Hi glc1 I can pretty much promise you that you aren't going to find anything better than WebWasher, I understand you want a banner ad and pop up blocker in one? I have tried many of them and for IE that one is the best, most cause all kinds of graphic display errors and such. To be honest your absolute best bet is use Mozilla 1.4, that's the browser I use and ad blocking and pop up blocking are built into it, try it, I bet you will love it.

:D
