This sucks

now need to find a dentist, my really good dentist is 1.5 hours away in Staten Island, and sick of driving all the way out there to see him.

I called up a dentist in my area and said it takes 3 months to get an appt, I told them I am in pain, they said ok we can get you in 2 weeks, what kind of crap is that???

What infection move to brain? I never heard of that in my life?????

In the past I have let toothaches for 6 months becuase I had fear of dentist. It would come and go, one day it be there next it gone.

Want to hear a horror story:

One day I was getting drilled, and while i was numb from novacaine, I guess I did not have neough novacaine, because all of a sudden the dentist must have hit my nerve or a spot that was not numb, and it caused me to jump because I was not expecting it since I felt numb.

Anyway, when I jumped, dentist slipped, and guess where the drill went? Right on my lower lip, cut up my whole lip.

That really stunk, I was not mad at the dentist it was not really his fault, I should not have jumped, but it was a natural reflex

well after that took me a long time to go back.

That's the main reason I have the Dentist strap my head to the chair, always take a roll of duct tape...not all chairs have restraints!

Thats why when they ask me if I can still feel anything or is the novacaine working yet I say NO. They always give me a few extra jabs then I feel a little safer lol.

Hopefully you have great dental insurance and get your teeth fixed for little or no money.

I use to have toothaches almost once a week and I could only eat on one side of my mouth fro about 5 years because I was afraid to go to the dentist.

The only part that hurts ( and that's very minor pain) is the shots in the gums and the back of the jaw to knumb your mouth.

I had so many problems with my teeth it took three months to complete the entire job. The first month I went once a week then after that every two weeks... now I can eat anything I want on either side of my mouth and with my new bridges in my teeth will be less likley to shift or move around.

Moral of the story, do what you have to to get your teeth cleared up because once it's cleared up you'll love yourself for handling it and then the only thing you'll need to do is floss, brush and maintain your pearly whites.

Good luck man, there's no reason to fear the Dentist, there's more of a fear of noit seeing the dentist... abcesses SUCK!!!!!

I had an 7 year old root canal get infected because
there was a microscopic canal that was not
noticed. Worse pain I ever had. Seems if the
abcess moves to the blood stream, it can also severely
damage your heart. Tylenol 3 had absolutely no effect.
Percocet was about 40% effective for the pain.

Had to go to the specialist to get the remaining
canal done under the microscope. Took him 3 hrs!
