Best firewall out there...

What would you guys rate as the best firewall (considering that there is no router involved) use on a windows xp pro machine with 256 megs of ddr (2100) ram?

Zone Alarm Pro. That is what I use. Very easy program. No "rules" to make. Price is decent.

Out post is also fine. You couldn't go wrong with either.

Zone Alarm is horrendous, it causes more problems than good, it slows your connection and pc down and causes all kinds of other connection problems. I HIGHLY recommend Sygate.

I have two that I think are both equally good. Outpost and Sygate, both are an excellent firewall. And yes I have used both of them. As of lately I have been running sygate on both of my XP machines. Either of the two and you cant go wrong.

I have used sygate pro--outpost v2--blackice--And have za 4 on my wifes computer.

But i do believe that Look'n'stop has the best protection and lowest resource usage of any of them.

With a proper ruleset that can be d/l you cant go wrong.
