sound card problems

ok heres the problem, if anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.

Ive formatted my computer and everything is up and running except i dont have the original drivers to the sound card and i dont know how to get my sound working again. I have a roland mpu-401 sound card version 4.00 and im running windows 98. any help would be great

Do a search for roland mpu-401 drivers and one of the links should have what you need.

ok i got the drivers installed and everything but now in device manager its reading an error in the PCI multimedia audio. It says there are no drivers for it. sheesh i need help.

sounds like you got the wrong drivers, or possible there is a pci card conflict.

So check you got the right drivers, if there were more than one choice try the others,

Else you can try swapping the card into another pci slot.

But I would check out some other drivers first!

EDIT:
These ones look good.

Try reinstalling these first.

I had that prob with creative. I had to install the drivers first,then the sound card. Actually I had to physically remove the sound card and restart, then put the sound card back in and restaert again to install the drivers correctly.
