I have windows 2000 pro installed on my computer and I have xced some of the background services that run, that are designed for networking and some of the automatic updates that piss you off when running the o/s
I just wanted to know what services and or, what you guys do or install to speed up the opertions and processing of the o/s it's self.
I have heard that some people up the ammount of virtual memory, but i just wanted to open the question up to the guys and gals in here.

Windows 2000 Pro
I would work on trying to double this if you can.
A lot of the XP tips listed above for memory etc. work for W2K,
but as systems vary - always back up the registry first.
