Durrrr, yes, I know, I read that, that is why I'd tried the things I'd tried.

It is also why I mentioned that certain advanced graphics operations are working fine!

So what has changed?

Yet if I set the driver to full accelaration, and run PowerDVD, it runs fine?

Graphics card/driver issue?

I run BOINC. A short while ago, QMC released a new version of their client. It has a bug in it which does not display the progress, BUT, their new screen saver does - no problem I thought.

Trouble is, when I load the screensaver to look, it "freezes" my machine. I put freezes in quotes, because to ...

Going back to your original post, you say you need to extract the data from the file. Can you not use your existing CARMS software to do that? For example, can you "print" the data to a file for example? How big is this file?

Wotsit shows only one proprietary database with a .dat type file, DataFlex, one that I am unfamiliar with.

The thing to be aware of is "database" is a highly abused term. Many authors who store a few records in a file will refer to the file as a database, when it is simply a file. Most true ...

Dates are often held as the number of second or milliseconds since a reference date, and stored as a binary number. This is usually a 32 bit value. Thus, if you are seeing dates changing to 4 bytes of "garbage" this is probably what you are seeing. Create 2 records a known interval apart and ...

belnk = claria = gator...

I have often found a cookie from belnk.com on my system. Always deleting it, I never thought much about it. Until one day I did. I find that belnk is "Behaviour Link" part of Claria aka Gator, a well known pest.

So, my question, which I have asked at LavaSoft etc., and never had a reply, is why ...
