Just had a similar problem last week when I installed a new GPU. About 1/4 way through boot the computer would appear to lock up, although the spinning dots were still spinning. Plugged monitor into next GPU and saw that the computer had actually finished booting and was just waiting there.

No that's about right for 960's. Not sure what the difference between 960's and Titans are but they get similar results.

Didn't use the program to convert the files to mp3 but the program I used works the same way. Plays the book all the way through while saving it to disk Then I load the file into Goldwave and break it down into chapters. Then it's those chapter that I used to burn to cd.

Have d/l'd demo version and tried it out. It does what I want alright, but have 1 problem with it. When I burn a cd-r as a data cd it puts a 0.98gb book on 2 cd-r's like I want, but when I put one in my player there is no sound. Wonder if there's something in the program that I'm doing wrong ...

Think your running into the problem I had with a friend's computer. XP no longer being supported by current drivers or updates. You'll probably have to get a decompression program separately and use it. Java may have stopped supporting XP entirely so have no idea what you can do there. GPU drivers ...

Sony STR-DS520 Amplifier with HDMI inputs for all my equipment. PS-3, BLU-RAY 3D player, cable box.
Amplifier is hooked up to EPSON 3D projector via HDMI cable.

Need to be able to use earphones with or without speakers with volume control for each one. That away I won't blow other people watch or listening with me through the back wall.

Couldn't you just use something like Audacity, combine all the files in order and then save them at a smaller sample size?

Wouldn't work. Problem that writing as regular mp3 or any other format you are limited to 70 minutes of recorded time where audio books broken down to chapters or all in one ...

Have a license for goldwave for many years and love the program. Use it all the time. And yes you can select the bitrate and method to save the programs with, but it isn't a writing program such as what I'm looking for.

Instructions are for older version of iTunes than I have and menus and options aren't the same. Anyway it would write wav format and not mp3 so pretty sure it's not what I used.

Stanford took the folding forum website off line Monday, Sep 18th. They are trying to install https:// capability for added security.

Today, Tuesday, Sep 19th, at 3PM the points update system also went down, whether by accident or by plan and hasn't come back up.

I'm sure they are working on it ...
