hi guys,

my friend has a win2k server platform that wont boot. he gets the message saying the hive file cannot be found, that it may have been deleted, renamed, or cannot be written to i think..

any suggestions on how to solve this?

hi guys, could you help me. you see, when i open this box at work i get something like:

failure to initialize VPICD (sometimes VSD also). windows protection error. you need to restart your computer.

then i can't get into windows. i can get to the dos prompt though.

i watcvhed some guys at work install NT4 and they say it uses FAT (16?) to install. i think that maxes-out disk capacity to 2GB i'm not sure. i'm just wondering if there's a way to convert the file system to FAT32 to get more disk space without converting to NTFS. i'm not a tech so i don't know ...

its possible..

its wouldn't be that hard i guess and it wouldn't be expensive too. you could open the .dat file in as binary and access it, retrieve what you need, place the data where it should go and do the rest of the operations you described..

if i should block "generic host process for win32 services" you see sygate asks me if i should allow or block it..i block it coz i don't know what it is..just to be on the safe side.. :D

hmm..come to think of it, are there any other services like the aforementioned i should block?

i'm using xp ...

hi guys,

i was just wondering if anyone can tell me how to change the message IE displays when an error occurs.

like for instance when error 403 occurs the default error says forbidden. is there a way to change this to something else?

there's this setting in my CMOS like this: CPU Host/PCI Spread Spec.

the choices are,
Default (gives me 100x12=1.2Ghz processor clock speed)
100/33Mhz/-0.5%
100/33Mhz/+- 0.25%
100/33Mhz/+- 0.05%
102/34Mhz/Off (gives me 1.224Ghz processor clock speed)
etc,etc,
111/37Mhz/Off (gives me 1 ...

ordinarily, if you want to do what you want to do using an ocx, you'd be using a directory list box to return a string containing the directory you want your program to report.

bottomline is i think you should call the library where the directory list box resides instead of calling the library of a ...

have you tried searching google for flash turorials? there's a lot you can find there.

action scripts are a sort of way to point the animation to what next frame or movie will be shown with respect to the users' action. in effect it kinda makes the movie interactive.
