if your referring to the switch on the back of your psu that says 115v... leave it!!! do not change it to the higher setting or you'll kill your psu and probably your whole computer... the setting is the standard in the US... in a country like korea you would have to switch it..

the sound you are hearing is the sound of a Matrix Revolution ad on your computer... i have yet to find out what is making it run... someone suggested deadAIM...

oh ya... and the sound is more like a whining noise in and out in and out

nothings caught, and i've blown the dust away.. could it be a dry bearing? if it is...what type of grease do i put on it

i have a asus ti 4200 video card.... when i start my computer the card makes a funny vibrating type of noise...but it goes away in like 10 sec... i think the noise gets longer as the days pass...

is it because it rubbing agaisnt something or not enough grease?

any suggestions what it is...and how ...

i have this stupid problem... i installed a linkys wireless usb card to my friends computer at his work.. his computer has windows xp home edition ... i cant get the computer to see the wireless connection... the drivers installed but the network card wont detect any wireless activity..

i was wondering what would be the best way to network computers together if they are about 600 feet apart... different buildings at my church..

i read that the cat5 lines max distance is 100 meters, roughly 325 feet...

so what would i need in between to reach 600 feet?

my computer runs fine in the beginning and after about an hour or so...sometimes sooner... the computer starts to freeze intermittently....

all i did was reinstalled the cpu, cleared the thermal tape, applied AS3, and at the same time i took out the cmos battery. thats bout it...and it works somehow... still baffled but happy that it works...

interesting... it works!!!

since it was a "budget" computer i did not use AS3...i was desperate...so i took out the cpu cleaned it of that black tape muck that it comes with stock..and applied AS3...

however i do not think that was why it worked because on my first bootup...the same thing happened ...

no beeping sound...the other identically built computer beeps... but this one has noo sound at all, checked all cables...

could it be the psu even though fans, led, and hdd turn on?

one works perfect... my problem is the other one doesnt work at all....
when i press the power button, the cpu fan and vid card fan turns on... all the LED lights are on ...

i bought 3 blue led fans for my case, 1) all four leds on one of the fans are very dim 2) the second fan one led light is dim.

oh ya the brand is coolermaster, are the leds defective?? wat is the problem here...

everything seems to be working fine, like in windows xp IPCONFIG, all the addresses are found, the dsl company resetted everything, everything seems to be in place, but cant get connected to the internet. we do not have an alarm system in the house,
