this is exactly what happened to me, when i first received my alcatel 3com aDSL external modem from Bellsouth. i called bellsouth [my ISP] and they sent a tech guy to me and he couldnt get it to work so he put an internal dsl modem in there.. so i guess u should just call. peace

Somebody told me i should go to http://www.cyberwizardpit.com and get their tweak program, and i did... it supposedly works for every body else. but not me. for me it actually made my connection MUCH slower. look at these results before the cyberwizardpit.com tweak, and after..

Ive tried EVERYTHING there is to speed up my slow DSL connection.
I've tried:
- Calling bellsouth and complaining, numerous times
- MANY tweaks
- messing with RWIN's
- asking bellsouth to check my phone lines, more complaining, etc.
- more things i cant remember.

TweaK TestS not working???
My tweak tests on this site look fine [513 kb/sec up, 1028 kb/sec down] but when I take the kbps test, on performance.toast.net it says i only have 223 kbps, which is my OLD speed... also, when i download, although im getting great test results on THIS site's tweak tester, i'm still only getting 25 ...

NotFastEnough, I tried 32767 for RWIN, but it actually made me slower. Here's my test results with 32767.

Hello, I am still at it with tweaking my DSL, but it keeps giving me a message when i do my tweak test, to put my RWIN to certain numbers... Does the number I have in RWIN matter for tweaking DSL modems, or only cable? Please help - I called my ISP [bellsouth] and they said they dont guarantee speed ...

I understand pretty much all the instructions except what I do on Cablenut. Do I open each .ccs file and click "save to registry" after loading every one, and then "Exit" ?? and THEN reboot? or is there more ??

doesnt work
i just did all that and rebooted and well im back. i tested it out by downloading an mp3. same speed. [20- 25 k/s] well i think it didnt work but heres the results.

I tried tweaking it myself, I'm not sure if i did it or not, I just finished, do I need to restart my comp now for the changes to take effect or something? cuz i just tried downloading an mp3 and it went as slow as before..... Heres my results:
