It definitely is a budget build. I didn't even know you could get some of those components for so little. For what you need it for it should do the job. I don't see why you need/want such a powerful video card for those tasks. But for those tasks you should be good.

Lenovo is my "go to" brand for our clients. However..business class models only, and..that takes it well out of your price range.
If I had to buy a laptop for myself and I had to keep the budget that low...I'd shop the Lenovo factory outlet and find a firesale on a refurb, quality Thinkpad T or X ...

It's not about doing anything risky or stupid. Much of todays malware spreads via various websites...no matter what website they are. People keep thinking "stay away from the porn or pirated movies/software sites"...but it's every day websites that can be compromised, or via streaming advertising ...

Thanks guys. Everything worked out fine. Windows immediately saw the drive, and I was able to transfer everything I need. Fortunately, I had the files situated in folders and didn't need to go hunting around.

Yup that's just a standard 2.5" SATA. So "yuppers"...those should work.

The first one has a power adapter, so it can also spin up the regular desktop drive size..the 3.5" drives. As well as 2.5 and SSD.
