naa thats not what im looking for at all , im pretty comfortable with comps , and if it comes to a router ill just make a linux box

the 1 and only goal is to utilize the bandwidth of 2 modems , i know it can be done , im hear stories here and there , but no one can tell me the technical side of me :D

can you shotgun 2 cable modems ?

i have the luxury of having 2 cable modems for 15 a month . is there anyway , under any OS , that i could combine the bandwidth of these 2 to run through 1 machine ?

i used to play ra3 , and luved it , till one day i came across a hack site for q3 . that day changed myquake experience forever . i have heard of bots . even had been given one . but a whole community dedicated to hacking quake games ? a group of people with the mentality that people that play alot ...

ive done tests on ping times and i know , i thought it was low too , but its what matches my isp when i do the ping to host packet test

and its what lowered my ping rate ..

rwin is what im concerned about ;)

i got road runner and my mtu is 576

i have the default one in there now from the reg section , so i was wondering if any of you had sucsess with a different number ?

how do i edit the tcpip recieve window

i sucsessfuly lowered my ping a lil by editing the mtu of the transmited dadte to match that of my isp's

but im told the recive is as , if not more important , as the transmition mtu and that i can possibly lowerit more by editing the tcpip transmition window

anyone know how to do this and what ...

just a update , i found out it was problem with my p2/2 port that made the explorer track so bad , i used usb on the bs2000 , im back to using the explorer and couldnt be happier

tweaking a t1 q3 server

i just recently got my gruby lil paws on a t1 and the people pinging it from all over the US and canada arent hitting it as i want them to , im looking to shave 20 or so ms off , so how can this be done ( if at all) , right now its win98se (the server q3 is on)
