What would be a good speedguide optimizer setting for 9mbs down and 1 mbs up. This increase just came today. I ran a speedtest and it was 8300 down and 810 up. Currently have 128480 in TCP receive window.

The entire cox system must have been having difficulties. Things are back to normal now. Recent test just showed 4725 down/681up, so things are looking good again. Hopefully others are also.

Cox service man came this morning and said there is something wrong with the line. He said the signals were jumping all over the place, which explains the sudden burst and pauses. They are sending a maintenace crew out Monday to fix the problem. We'll see how it goes. Cox has been awesome up a week ...

I corrected the MTU discovery. Also, I upgraded to cox's 5000down and 768 up and have a tech coming Sat to check on the signal levels. I just ran a test and got 4710 down(good) and 110 up(bad), should be at least 400 up. We'll see what the signals look like and go from there.

This just started recently, I get varying download speeds but my uploads are horrible. On Cox cable 4000/512. Normally speeds run around 3850/378. But recently downloads have been off with long pauses with nothing, and uploads have dissapeared. I ran a test a few minutes ago, and it was 3809down and ...

My cox cable speeds have declined significantly in the past couple days. Normall run around 3800 in speed test, but now it is much slower and there are delays in my connection. Not sure what the problem is, but it just started.

After more testing, I've changed back to 64240 in the optimizer. Speeds are now 3780/412, not bad but SP2 so far is a major pain. Speeds do not seem to be consistant. Cable nut seems to produce the lower speeds no matter what settings.

Well I was running fine until I installed SP2, now its much slower.
RUnning XP SP2, Cox cable 4000/512. I've tried various cable nut and optimizer settings. Help me if you can.

What cablenut setting should I now use for the increased bandwidth. Currently using yours for the 3000/256, and now running speed test around 3800/490.
