i have an ethernet dsl modem on my computer, and i just met this person that owns a company that lays fiber optic cable and even though my computer is relatively fast im assuming that this could make the connection even that much better, he has offered to make a few peices for me, he just said to tell him how long and what kind of connectors or fitting i want on them, anyone out there help me with what all peice i can use, and what to tell him i need?

thanks

Don't bother. If you only have access to a fire hose's worth of bandwidth, no sense installing a water main size pipe to carry the flow. Wont improve anything and will cost you a bundle in fiber/ethernet translation gear.
