Iraq is still playing the same game, lets not wait anymore.

However, military officials said, it is ultimately up to the United Nations to decide if the action was a "material breach." .

Waiting on the UN....

I hate the thought of War but then again I hate the thought of HAVING to PRAY to ALAH (or similar).

I've been asking this question to my sister...

At what point does one admit the failure of dipolecy? How many times must Iraq fire on COlition forces before one takes action?

I would love to, but I am not in any physical shape with all my medcal problems, and would be no use in the military, trust me they are better without me.

can someone explain to me again why we destoryed afganistan?

oh yeah. something about a pipeline or oil...

oh, one more question. Remember that girl who testified to the UN and enraged the american publick against the iraq's before the gulf war? I wonder how that princess/liar is doing these days?

we could certainly use another like her.

Don't get me wrong here , but your saying that we went to war in Afganistan because a princess had a big ass mouth? and that our being there was about oil at the time? Um can you remember 9-11?

Quite the contrary zooner. We liberated Afghanistan from an oppressive regime. We simply destroyed the Taliban.

What that woman testifed to is inconsequential to the actions of Saddam Hussein. He invaded another country.

What would you have us do?

Does anyone have an answer to my question?

How long can you be diplomatic and get slapped in the face every time you try something new before you slap back?

Instead of being the stern disiplinarian and standing up for ourselves (USA) we have resorted to child psychology, first a constructive warning, then another warning, then warn there will be no more warnings, then warn them that this is the last warning before theree is another warning... just like a child Iraq continues to push the buttons. Unless there is some sort of action taken Iraq will continue to push it's limits and eventualy feel as if they are in charge ( which is more than likely the case at this point)

It's a bunch of propaganda crap...they're trying to justify their actions to the rest of the world by shifting the attention away from their actions to something that sounds even more horrific (even if it's not true)...

Yep, those people die because the food that is sent over thru humanitarian channels is funneled to the people in the government...I wouldn't be surprised if none of what was sent over in the form of food actually made it down to the people who needed it most...Hussein brought the embargo on his people, then turns around and starves them even more by intercepting the humanitarian food sent over....

Even though the word Allah may translate to god in English, Christians, for example, pray to a different God than do Muslims... so he would be correct in making that distinction

Different? The first 5 books of the old testament are the same as the Muslims use.

Christians, Muslims and those of the Jewish faith all have roots in the same G_D........

While I can see that the first 5 books of the Bible are used by the Muslims, the core of the Christian faith lies in the Trinity, 1 God in three persons. The muslims worship a god completely different from that. No arguments from me, just pointing out that because the worshippers use some of the same books doesn't mean they worship the same God :)

sorry joe... you're wrong.

they believe in jesus too, but not as the son of God. Heck, the roots of both religons are brothers and can be traced back to abraham.

Yes, they have differant methods of worship... but it's scary that they worship the same God and that both supposed teach peace and love.

Whew, well now that I know that I won't bother to go any further ;)

Jesus is one of those three persons that make up the Christian God. If the muslims do not include him as the son of God, how can both gods be the same?

No hard feelings, and I hope we can continue to keep this discussion civil :)

(sorry if I was a little blunt there joe... 330am does that sometimes!)

anyways, I believe we were both right. Yes, the christian God is made up of the holy trinity... God, his son Jesus and the holy ghost. The three make up the one and they are all equal.

However, since God is part of the trinity as well as the whole, God as one of the three is a singular enitity.

Thus, (Christian God)=(God - Christian God)*(Jesus - Christian's God's Son)*(Holy Ghost)

We can also enstate that Allah is merely a translation in reference within a language of that same God, however much he is worshipped differantly.

However, even though in theory they are the same 'God'; I believe it would be a gross mis-interupation to place such a summarization on these religons.

The Iraq conflict should NOT be made into a religiouse war...because it's not.

My dad keeps asking me "Why after all this time is Bush suddenly talking war with Iraq?" He's starting to say it's 100% about oil. I do not think that to be entirely true. The oil may be part of it, but not a primary part. These slaps on the wrist the UN has has given Iraq are too numerouse, I beleive it is not time for a spanking and an anal probe rather than a time out...

He also asks why we don't go after North Korea for their nuclear programs. The reason being is that North Korea has not posed a major threat to the international world as Iraq has, at least not in recent years that I am aware of...

All this talk of war is just too damn depressing.

Know what I think is going to happen?

Saddam will just comply with the UN Resolutions and we all will have a Happy and Merry Holiday season.

However, I know this is a vicious circle with Iraq and I fear "War" is the only conclusion to resolve this dilemma.
