The "X" model is fairly new...has a much more robust firewall, and VPN support.

So is it worth the extra 20-30 bones to pick it up over the older model do ya think? I think I like the idea of a more robust firewall.

If it's just $20-30, yes get the newer model, or a Netgear.

I just read the specs on this model, and I agree. If it's 30 bucks extra go for it. It's firewall appears to be much better than any of the others. Also, if you have little ones in the house, the http filtering would be a great way to keep them away from certain sites.

I also like the fact that it is a VPN endpoint which would allow you to network in over the Internet to your home network and browse files. It encypts data via IPSEC as well.

Looks like a great product for the home and small business user, especially for the price.
