Hello all, i just installed the latest version of debain on my laptop and all went well, kde is running flawlessly as well but i have one problem. I have a Netgear FA410tx pcmcia network card and i do not know how to install/configure it in debain. I am sorry i am a linux newbie and am used to mandrake/redhat that do all this for you hehe. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i need to get this thing on the internet! Thanks in advance! :)

I have no experience with laptops and Linux. I've always run Linux on old PC's with lots of RAM.

I would recomend that you subscribe to the debian-laptop mailling list or even the surf over to DebianHelp.org. The Debian developpers are really active in the community. You'll find what you are looking for providing you ask the right questions :D

You could also try the Debian Home Network Documentation project. Last I remember they had some docs on laptop installations.

Also, the Linux documentation project has a PCMIA HOW-TO and a Ethernet HOW-TO. Perhaps you can find some relative information in there.
