American or Foreign Car?

Post by axtrader »

Which do you own or drive?

Don't have to give year, make or model unless you want to.

I have two american cars. My ol' lady drives a foreign job.

What about you guys?

I've never liked much of the design and engineering that comes from American car companies.
I drive an Integra. Made in Yokohama.

The only product from Japan I ever owned had buttons that flew off the dash into you lap when you turned on the wippers.

I will stick to Fix or Repair Dailies, after I finally get rid of my current GM product named after the buring sun, and an historic Native American.

Lets see, a 1978 Honda Civic, a 1986 Honda Civic, a 1989 CRX, and a 1995 Acura Integra.....see a pattern? Oh, and i still have a 1986 Honda Reflex motorcycle. With various GMC products that live at the farm.

I would purchase an American vehicle, but their reliability has been wanting as is resale value. I was looking at a 350 supercrew with the turbodiesel, but I heard the Ford truck transmissions crap out at 50,000 miles.

Until then, I will stick with my Landcruiser and test drive at will.
blessed be................

Nothing but Ford products for me (since the demise of Studebaker). My kids have gone through their share of imports, though.

Do you not understand First On Race Day :D (race day = any racing) ;) he he j/k... being honest, there are way too many factors to say who would win. Depends on mods, conditions, driver ability, etc.... But it would be a good race either way :)

I drive a chevy, and a pontiac for the daily driver. The pontiac is the most reliable car anyone in my family has ever owned.

Currently I am working on building a 427 for a 69 camaro ss. I wanna put 10:1 pistons, headers, its a 4 bolt main, 8mm wire set, quad port exahstion, the whole nine yards. It will be my second car. My first one which I am currently driving is a 1987 Nissan 200SX with an XE V6 3.0. Its a quick riceburner but not quick enough.

see sig......its my first car

personaly i think the japanise have the american car manufacturers beat in the sport compact car market, my frends all own caveliers and sunfires....and they all fall apart after just a few months!!!...i won't even go on about the 7+ recalls on the ford focus's

now when it comes to SUV;s and pickup and big sedans...then yes the north american car manufactures are the leaders there

From the time I was little, my parents told me that if I kept up a high GPA throughout high school they would buy me a new car for graduation...well, when I graduated high school in 1994 I was given a brand-new Camaro. I've been driving it ever since, with no problems (of course I maintain it well).

American! (With parts from all over)

92 Accord w/ 180,000 miles and no problems. In 3 months I am buying a 92 300zTT, 385 at the crank with minor upgrades and reliable. I do respect a love American rides though. Read last months Car and Driver and see who won the modded car shootout, a Lingenfelter Vette.
