WTH is going on!!?? Kitten, possible Placenta previa ...

Kitten just went to the hospital for spotting. There has been no sex since I got surgery so the spotting is out of charachter.
The only thing I have been able to see from looking up spotting (she is in second trimester btw) is the possibility of Placenta previa.
where The placenta is pocketed to low in the cavity, it's said to be more common in woman who have had 6 + children.
Looks like she'll be getting the Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (A hormone produced by the placenta that maintains the corpus luteum during pregnancy) test.
We don't want to tell the kids or I'd be there right now... this blows.
My appendix left me feeling VERY vunerable now not haveing the ability to control this situation is even more humbling...
Feels like we are being tested or hardened for some reason.

Jesus, John, I hope everything's okay. My thoughts will be with you. Do what you can, let others handle the rest. Lean on those you trust.

spotting can be an early sign of miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy, especially if accompanied by abdominal pain (which she had last night) or cramping. And in the third trimester bleeding or spotting can signal a condition called placenta previa, placenta abruptio (whereby the placenta separates from the uterus), or premature labor.

Ok, she's back. The Hospital reccommened that she drink plenty of fluids and get alot of rest. No heavy lifting (there goes my BJ tonight...lol) and she's facing a possible/threatening miscarriage. She will see her doctor on tuesday.
And I was right when I assummed it was Placenta previa.
Doesn't look good.
Here's a visual for anybody wondering what it is...

John,
Visiting you in the hospital was not only difficult, it was fricking sad. it's scary to think that anything could happen, whether it be a minor event or even a catastrophic disaster..I get so scared knowing that either one of us could be gone in a flick of a eyelash.
I pray that we all receive health & some prosperity. You and i have been through so many challenges it is amazing that either one of us are still living. When we lost ronnie to the heartless disease of drug addiction...
i realized that i was not as invincible as i thought i was..
john maybe im babbling..
but here it is.
The trials and tribulations you, aswell as many have encounterd through are lives..It just seems as if there is no mercy to the amount of troubles we encounter. However what has not killed us has made us stronger. This you already know bro...
If we continue to pray and continue to treat others as we like to be treated.. God says that we will be rewarded. So nomatter what we encounter as long as we stay focused and true. You and your family will be givin a day where you will have absouloutley not a single bad thing happen, and the life you have been living for the last 10 years or so...
You are bound for a life far beyond your dreams john..
You have become a awesome person and a hell of a father..
god isnt going to take your child from you. Bro he has givin you a child, and a life, and he is also giving you your life back, god bless you john...
im proud to have you as a brother..
leave all your problems in gods hands and youll be ok
love you bro

Thanks for all the concern and warm thoughts!!! I will see my Dr. on tuesday. Im sure everything will be O.K.

Im 18 weeks or second trimester so its definately not normal. they called it , a possible threat of miscarriage. And told me to take it easy. The babies heart beat is 150 and strong and the cervix is still closed so those are good signs

Im sure EA will let you know what happens and thanks again for all the warm wishes.

Have they confirmed the condition with an ultrasound? Light spotting can occur at almost anytime during gestation.
Nothing is more frustrating than your body not allowing you to do what you need to do. You and kitten are in this man's prayers tonight.

david

We have lived a rough life, more than most people will experience in their whole life. But in a way I feel fortunate. Strange, but it's how I feel. If I were to do it all over agin.. uhh no thanks...lol but some of the things we learned together made up inseperable spiritualy, the brotherly bond that see's no faults only experiences that have been shared. My love for you in almost completely unconditional, either right wqrong or indifferent I still feel the same. Love you man.
All this crap that I have been confronted with ( I feel the worst is yet to come i.e. hep treatment) I still think I am in a better place than I have been in the past 10 years so in a way I count my blessings and get ready to deal with the next card the be drawn (Aces high)

Hopefully Kitten's body will readjust itself and you'll be able to have a healthy and happy baby. You can always hope for those things.
As it is, You are all in my heart. Please be well.

damn, John. i feel for you.
don't fret too much. you are a fighter, and have the strength to face most any challenge. being dealt one sh*t hand after another can be very trying. it can be very easy to forget how much you really have when in the midst of the crappiness. just remember, you are a very fortunate man to have come as far as you have, through as much sh*t as you have, and to have a loving family.
through the power of the tribe, you will prevail. no matter how hard fate tries to change that.
good luck, man.

John & Sherri, I really don't know what to say. It's about damn time that the troubles stop for you. It is incredible how much crap some people have to go through, and at times like this life is just plain unfair. You have our support.

OMG...John...I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles along with Kitten and the soon to be.
Heather had spotting as well and cramps but hers turned out to be premature labor.
Uhhh....I don't know what to say but to keep calm cool and collected. Your baby can sense these things. Keep focused....and most of all...show that pretty wife of yours all the love and attention you can. Also...don't forget about those wonderful kids you have right now...they still need Daddy!
If you want to talk or need something...call me.
