My PC isn't even in the running of "best" PC, but because it's MY PC it is "THE BEST" :D

Cost: $4800 Aus Dollars
Man, your dollar must be worth a lot less than our Canadian dollars (ours is a bit better than half the worth of a U.S. dollar) , that price is outrageous for that PC..
We could buy the same PC here for under $2000 dollars. Closer to $1500

I would think that no matter what you have, somebody is ALWAYS going to have something better than you!

I have enough to get me by, that works for me.

I've got a pretty decent machine I use for working at home, here's the specs:

Coolermaster ATC-210-VX2 Case
Enermax 430 Watt Power Supply
Asus A7M266D Motherboard
Dual AMD Athlon MP 1900+ CPUs w/ AOC EC-CUC-610 Processor Fans
1 Gig of Corsair 2100 ECC DDR
SB Live! Sound Card
Asus V8200 TI 200 Pure (GeForce 3)
3Com 905C WOL 10/100 NIC
Promise ATA 100 Controller Card
2 60 Gig Maxtor 7200 ATA 133 Hard Drives
Asus 52x CD-ROM
Asus 1610 CDRW
Zip 250 Drive
Floppy Drive
with Red Hat Linux 7.3 as the OS

I have 3 others at home as well, all but one running Linux, Gentoo (for fun) and Red Hat (for work), it runs 2 database servers (PostgreSQL and MySQL) and has a fairly high load when I'm working--thus, the need for multiple processors. With all the fans it has, it sounds like a few hairdryers are running when it is on...

Legalmind with all that $$$ you have why would you want Congress to give children food and a place to sleep. I though it would be up to there mom and dad to do that? You could have them all over to your house for a sleep over and take you computer out of the icebox and put food in it and feed them. You think maybe you could keep them from doing drug's long enough to get job's, that would help a lot. Then congress would have the money to buy bombs to protect us from people who want to kill us

Dear Congress:
You can agree on bombs!
While we have children at home
sleeping in the streets and no
food for their belly.

1. I have spoke before Congress concerning many matters, including the one you wrote about in your post. Children are something all adults should be concerned about, no matter who the father or mother is.
In a country that claims to be the "Human Rights" police of the world, is it not a shame that some poor kid does not even have a bed?
2. I do many flights a year to get POOR people to the live saving medical care they need.
3. I am the first in line to stick out my arm when blood is needed.
What got me started? In 1986 I saw a child on Christmas eve spending his Christmas in the rain, with no toys,no roof,no food and I will never forget his face!
Next week I am closing on a 2.5 million dollar property, so people who are not as lucky as you and I will have a nice apartment based upon what little money they make. I have pledged to do this for 2 years until I turn it into a profitable property.
I hope this very brief explanation meets your approval.

Best for what? Hardware should fit the application(s) not the other way around...that is one of MS biggest miscalculations. The faster CPUs get, the more huge amounts of memory become commonplace, the more will be required to run windows.

Then again, we are a consumer driven world...I like Norm's approach :)
