The only bad thing about add on aircraft is that if the other person you're flying with in multiplayer doesn't have that file, it shows up as one of the aircraft that's built into fs2002. So if you go in trying to fly the SR-71, and no one else has that file, then everyone will probably see a boeing 777 or something along those lines...

BTW, nice crashes :D

You need to post some of those crashes at our flying club web site :)

I only got to play for a couple of minutes lastnight. I'll have lots o crashes coming up soon enough.

Hmm...I may have to take a look at that...if that's the case, then I'll be flying in my Huey :D

in multiplayer, turn on send and accept info from other players, or something like that.

It depends...a lot of the ones that are made specifically for fs2002 may have the updated cockpit, but the ones for fs2000 (which you can use in fs2002) may have cockpits that don't show up right in fs2002...

I believe the default key for hiding the panel is W.

I really don't know what you did, but I think I had that problem once before with FS2000. Try switching to another plane and see if you still have that problem. Also go into Options--->Controls--->Assignments and click on the "Views" drop down box. Try all those in there. Other than that I can't seem to find anything on the web about it either. If you go to the avsim.com forums, somebody might be able to help you. You could always reinstall as a last resort. If you've downloaded other planes, I believe the uninstaller leaves them there so you won't have to worry about losing them (I'd double check though).

Go under the views menu you should be able to bring up the panel from there. Or you may have resized the panel to be out of view.

To get to the menu, click "Alt"... ;)

I don't think you guys understand what I'm saying.

I think b_underdog knows what I'm talking about though. It does it on a few of my planes, I can see the gray part where the gauges SHOULD be, where the gauges SHOULD be there is just black circles where they SHOULD be, there just aren't any gauges there.

Now I know what the problem is! When you install third-party aircraft, sometimes they include panels and sometimes they don't. You need to go to avsim and download a panel for your plane. If the planes that you're having trouble with does have a panel included (it'll have a "panel" folder in the zip file), then you need to look for a "gauges" folder in the zip file and extract that to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\FS2002\GAUGES. Good luck.

There are some downloaded planes that don't have panels at all. I have a Mirage like that, only gauges I can see are the ones you see when you hit w. That and the shortcut keys to bring up the radio stack, GPS, etc..

it's only a problem with a couple of the planes I downloaded, but all the in game planes are fine.
