Optimum Online

Post by HenryHand1 »

Judging by his name and location, I think he has Optimum Online -- the best cable ISP in my opinion. Their customers get 8MB/s and up for only about $25/month.... the next town over from me has it and here I am stuck with Comcast paying about twice as much for speeds 1/5th of that :o

9MB/S :D I had 14.4 for about 3-4 years... I always creamed my pants looking at other people online that get 60KB/S and 40ms... I definately deserve this. It's up 24/7, hasn't gone down once. I use it atleast 8 hours a day too. I HOPE TO GOD that Cablevision/OOL take over the world. The internet would be a wonderful place if that ever happened. :D

TCP options string = 020405b40103030401010402

MTU = 1500
MTU is fully optimized for broadband.

MSS = 1460
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1460, which equals MSS.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 548960
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 4 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 34310
RWIN is a multiple of MSS
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
513920 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 8)
256960 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 4)
128480 (MSS x 44 * scale factor of 2)
64240 (MSS x 44)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 21958.4 kbps (2744.8 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 8783.36 kbps (1097.92 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 50 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

Can ya help me out? I'm so sick of these speeds... i'm paying for much more then this

:D :p
