I'm using WIN ME, and I use Cable Nut to tweak my O/S, Its seen like no differance. My Internet speed is ADSL386.

Any expert here can suggest me what and where to tweak?

take an analyzer test.

Then copy and paste the results and do not post your I.P address shown on the first paragraph.

You can always XXX out the I.P address i.e

TCP properties for IP = xxx.xx.xx.xxx (hostxxx-xx-xx-xxx.xx-xxxxx.xxxxxxxxx.com)
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Q312461; (R1 1.1))
Note: Read the FAQ if the above is not your IP address.

This is my result from the TCP/IP Analyzer, and what should I change now

TCP properties for IP = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ()
Browser/OS = Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98; Win 9x 4.90)
Note: Read the FAQ if the above is not your IP address.

TCP options string = 0204052a01010402

MTU = 1362
MTU is not fully optimized for broadband. Consider increasing your MTU to 1500 for better throughput.

MSS = 1322
Maximum useful data in each packet = 1322, which equals MSS.
MSS is not fully optimized for broadband (although it might work well for slower connections). Consider increasing your MTU value.

Default Receive Window (RWIN) = 63888
RWIN Scaling (RFC1323) = 0 bits
Unscaled Receive Window = 63888
For optimum performance, consider changing RWIN to a multiple of MSS.
Other values for RWIN that might work well with your current MTU/MSS:
507648 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 8)
253824 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 4)
126912 (MSS x 48 * scale factor of 2)
63456 (MSS x 48)

bandwidth * delay product:
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 2555.52 kbps (319.44 KBytes/s) @ 200ms
Your RcvWindow limits you to: 1022.208 kbps (127.776 KBytes/s) @ 500ms

MTU Discovery (RFC1191) = ON

Time to live left = 40 hops
TTL value is ok.

Timestamps (RFC1323) = OFF

Selective Acknowledgements (RFC2018) = ON

IP type of service field (RFC1349)= 00000000

This is my result from the TCP/IP Analyzer

1. Who is your ISP and what is your advertised speed from them? i.e. Cox.net & 3000/256 (this is advertised in kilobits per second.)

2. What kind of speeds are you getting now? Do 10 speed tests from Speakeasy (choose the location nearest to you) clearing your internet temp files prior to each test, and give us the average of your top 5 tests. This will give you a good baseline to go by but remember speed tests are not 100% accurate.

3. Please tell us your operating system i.e. 95, 98, 98SE, ME, 2K or XP.

Thanks to Mnosteele ;)

1. My ISP is "TM Net, Malaysia" , Advertise speed is ADSL 386kbps/128kbps.

2. 1st five test Average = 280kbps/101.2kbps Transfer rate = 34.18
2nd five test Average = 280.2kbps/100.4kbps Transfer rate = 34.2

3. My O/S is Win ME

Try the fixes I suggest in My Tips for correcting your MTU, it should be 1492 (I think it should be, since you are in Malaysia I'm not sure about the internet standards there). :)

Did you mean to correct his MTU?
