Got a ques...

I went to this guys house yesterday.. and found that he has 2 video cards in his comp.. One is built in to the mother board and one is a APG video card. He told he the last time he used the comp was 4 or 5 months ago.. anyways.. i plugged in the monitor to the AGP video card.. turned the comp on.. it worked.. the keyboard wasn't working so i turned the cpmp off and checked everything, repluggd in the keyboard and turned it back on.. Got no video output.. got just a black screen with nothing.. the monitor wasn't getting signals.. so i turned it off and plugged it in to the built in motherboard one.. still got no display... brought it home and put it a different video card on a pci slot.. same thing.. resetted the cmos.. din help..

so yea.. any help on this guy? really appreciate it.. need the help asap.. thanks

reseat the memory.. take out all video cards and try the onboard.. onboard video is HELL most of the time. u can't disable it a lot of times w/ out using jumpers..and bios settings generally are to init the pci first or something....reseat memory, boot w/ just the onboard vid, ram, cpu, and floppy disk..go into bios, set video to agp..save exit, turn off machine..put in agp card..turn on..if it works, turn it off and replug everything.

I would get into the BIOS only if i could see anything on the screen.. lol but um yea i've tried mostly everything.. time for me to tear it apart and rebuild it i guess.. lets see where this takes us :-)

good luck.. like i said just make sure to take out all cards..also check the mobo for a model number, search google for it..maybe it'll come up w/ jumper settings for u..that u can use to set the onboard video on or off.
