I had a router set up and everything worked fine. Now, it started kicking one computer off, and allowing the other. All I can figure out whats going on. Is that somehow a lease for one hour got set. Im not even sure exactly what that means, but any help at all would be much appreciated.

Under your router manager you should be able to change the lease IP settings. If this does not work, on each machine set the IP address as static within the IP addresses your router will set. You can still leave your router as DHCP.

If anything at least make the computer that keeps dropping the IP as a static IP. Make sure to include subnets, gateway and such.

Ok, I should have been more specific on some things. First off the router is like 100 years old( my roomate got it for free somewhere, its only 10base, WEAK!) and there is no software to speak of. And IM not sure where the setttings are for it. Im using windows Xp.

You should go on the internet and do a search for your router name and model. Then download the documentation so you know how to administer your router and access the manager. You may also be able to update the firmware on the router. The documentation will tell you how to do this.
