I noticed about a month ago you had a problem where your machine would not boot from shutdown. Heres the exact thread -

well, i have the exact same problem. The only way to boot my machine from a shutdown is to power on, and then restart. What was solution to your problem my friend?

Thanks

I dont know if on the right track here but i remember reading before someone else had this same problem and fixed it by changing 'some' delay setting in the bios. It was explained that the computer boots too fast to intialize something and adding this small delay was necessary and fixed the problem. Sorry for being so vague but its all i can remember about the post and hopefully it might get u both in the right direction.

Anyone have any ideas about any delay settings?

There are some timer settings in my bios; i have yet to change them off the 'default' setting because most i've never even heard of.

I dont think my problem is defective hardware or improper installation. Once the cpu boots, it works perfect.
