Someone PLEASE help me with packets

Hello,
I play a game called Ultima Online. I want to be faster and im on 56k. I heard doing something with packets will help.
1: do i make bigger or smaller
2: HOW?!!?!?

i heard about that, my brother inlaw used to play that but said he had enough, he also had a 56 k modem. he stopped playing it a few months ago because lag was so bad that he would earn very high levels only to lose because he sat there getting killed and couldnt move because of the lag. i forget what he plays now.
I dought very highly that any tweaks will help you with 56k modem. from what i understand they lack the resources to provide quility gaming on there servers.

I know how crazy it must make you. However, you might just want to try this. I do think there is a 56K option in it. Go here and download the freeware software:http://www.broadbandnuts.com/software.shtml

I know in quake setting maxpackets higher will make the game smoother and also makes your ping APPEAR higher. In quake the setting is cl_maxpackets.
