I came here with hopes in solving my speed issue

Post by jbryan1984 »

Somewhere along the line, I am running into speed issues on my computer. I have the highest internet package my cable company offers, speeds up to 50 mbps download and up to 3 mbps upload. However, when using speedtest.net on my computer, on average it says about 17-20 download and about 1 for upload. When I use my phone however, I get exactly what my cable company offers, sometimes even better. Why is my computer not getting the full speed?

This could be dependent on many factors, like WiFi connection/adapter on your PC, network card limitations, etc. How is the computer connected to the cable modem/gateway ?
