UEFI detection tool needed

Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is the right area to post this question, but I’m hoping to get some advice on this question.
Does anyone know of a tool which can be use to determine if a system in running "UEFI”?
I know it's possible to use the function key to get into "bios" options to make that determination, however, it's sometimes difficult to direct customers to get into the BIOS to confirm if the system is running UEFI. Some customers can be very clumsy, and simply don't read what they see on the screen.
I'm particularly looking for a tool that myself and the other techs on my job can use to run while in windows. For instance, we've got a little DOS based tool which we run on customer's computers to determine if the system has a Self Encrypting Drive (SED) /Opal Hard drive.
The encryption software currently being used has a compatibly issue with machines running UEFI, so quickly identifying this issue would save lots of time and headache.
