DVD ripping ?

Post by Mark »

i haven't had to rip a DVD movie in a few years, but today i tried my old way of using an old version of dvd decrypter and then dvdshrink, neither worked on this 2012 era disc.

i installed a 21 day trial version of anydvd, which worked and was then able to shrink it with dvd shrink.

so is there any current, free software to do this these days, nothing with spyware ?

The best for free is use DVDFab with ImgBurn, they integrate together and are both free. DVDFab is free forever to decrypt DVD's.

As I already stated, FREE forever to decrypt the DVD, the built in burning engine is what you are paying for. When you set it up with ImgBurn (which is free) it automatically opens ImgBurn after it's decrypted and burns it to a DVD.

Here is a tutorial on my website on how to set it up, it's pictures from an older version of DVDFab but it is still the same setup.

How To Setup DVDFab and ImgBurn

FYI, it's a 30 day trial with all the features, after the trial it will only decrypt the DVD and you must use ImgBurn for it to work. ImgBurn is a better burning engine than the one built in anyways.
