Internet connection in the office where i work is using another ISP but at home i am using another ISP. So out of curiosity i use my office computer to browse my home computer IP address using web-browser. Suddenly windows screen pop up prompt for username and password to my IP.
Now my question is -- if the username and password i enter is correct will i be able to access my PC ?

What method are you using to connect to your home PC? The built in Remote Desktop Client of Windows? A 3rd party remote software app like UltraVNC?
If you're using your web brower..and you plug in your public IP address of your home connection..you're probably hitting the web browser web admin interface of your ISPs gateway device at home.

Thank you for your reply YeOldeStonecat. If let say i am able to access the web admin interface of my ISP gateway device. Does that mean it is dangerous if someone found out the username and password and able to login
