How about this? Imo, it just works with a little more saturation and contrast...along with a slight tilt.

Gives it almost a frozen feel to it. Try repeating it a few times and maybe add in a slight blur on one layer and see if that makes it more snow-like.

My take on it:
Adjusted the curves, spot healed a number of things, and removed a couple of things like the rock in the water on the left side. Still learning a lot with CS5, but hopefully you like the pic

added a couple more layers, bit of blur, any more layers and the red gets over saturated.
