Yep.. fuel prices are keeping people from traveling as much and job security sucks so bad that you can't risk buying alot of stuff.

After looking through some of the ads on that site, you're correct. There's nothing to make it worthwhile. I thought that last years sales were bad, geez. This Black Friday I'll be sleeping in recovering from a turkey and roast pork shoulder overdose. :D

No. Its a trend in black friday sales, its gotten more and more popular and different places have wanted to keep that interest and drive going, but they couldnt offer such incredibly deals all the time, so they made black fridays sales crappier to match the other sales events.

sure that's some of it..but those that I've talked which many commute long distances can't afford the gas now let alone the gas and many gifts for the holidays.

Must be different up that way I guess..

Would depend on people's incomes and how far they have to travel. There are those that won't purchase due to loss of jobs as well.

But I don't consider those the main factors.

I consider job loss, job security (lack of) and fuel prices (gas,heating oil, etc..) to be high factors...
