Went yesterday, about a 1 mile loop with some great views. First try at some panoramic shots with Photoshop Elements 7.0

The vertical banding in shots 1 and 3 especially...I read that taking portrait orientation shots instead of landscape shots can help prevent that. Any other suggestions?

Did you use a tripod? Or did you freehand the shots? Most of the time, I can get away with freehanding a panorama, but I try to use a tripod when I can.

Freehand.

If I get a nice camera I'll lug a tripod along :D

Nice Humby! :)

I'll be safe to assume that Trini lives there? :D

You could see his house in the last shot if you knew where to look and it wasn't quite as hazy.

Nice! I freehand all my panoramas and never do portrait.

I have found that the more overlap you give, the better results you'll have. Try that. When I start moving L>R, I try to keep the focus guides on the horizon or something to keep it "flat".

Keep it up!! Great place there. Are you out hiking or on the mtb?

Triniwasp has family from Trinidad the country, he does not live in Trinidad California (nearby, but not in it)
