Bittorrent help

Okay so this is my first post and i need help badlyyy.... It says im not getting any connection coming through to download and its only running 21kb/s. I have tried to set my ip to a static IP and i have disabled my firewall too see if that helped. Also i have tried to forward port 6881-6889 but im confused can anyone help me please!!

It doesn't matter about your software firewall. you need to forward a listening port on your router's/gateway's firewall. Most routers have a feature called Upnp port forwarding, that will automatically open a port on the firewall if a client on the LAN requests it. Some routers now support NAT/PMP, which is an Apple technology.

If your router does not support this feature, just manually forward a port using this guide. Select your router from the list.

If you are using Windows or OS X, the client you should be using is uTorrent. You should be only forwarding one port TCP port and not a range of ports.

uTorrent also supports uTP protocol which can punch through a firewall. Use utorrent 2.0 Beta to get around persistent firewall issues
